Mints, Teals and Aqua with Karen Reategui

Hello shiny friends! I’m thrilled to be writing my first blog post for WOW! Embossing Powder. This time I’m sharing two cards that match perfectly with my Little Blessings logo and that’s another reason why I’m so excited! I’m using some colors like Teals and Aqua, which are part of the theme colors for the WOW! Facebook Monthly Challenge. Of course, I added gold embossing powder, my favorite and I use it in almost all my projects.

Let’s shine! I started by cutting an A2 white panel and heat embossed it with WOW! Mint Macaroon embossing powder. This color is gorgeous and looks spectacular on the background! Then, I trimmed down the edges and added it ti a white card base using double sided tape.

Next, using the stitched scalloped frame from Sunny Studio Frilly Frames Lattice, I die cut a white cardstock. I put the smallest Fancy Frames Circle die on the upper left of this cardstock and run it through my die cutting machine. I adhered this cardstock on top of the embossed panel using glue dots.

Additionally, I die cut another circle using the smallest Fancy Frames Circle die out of gold foil paper and glued it to the background.

Finally, I stamped and heat embossed some flowers from Studio Katia You're So Sweet using WOW! Bluetiful, Oasis and Mint Macarron embossing powders. I die cut the flowers, glued a couple and tied a piece of natural twine. Then, added the arrangement on top of the background.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on vellum from the same Studio Katia stamp and heat embossed it using WOW! Metallic Gold embossing powder. I added it to the card and as the final touch I put a few Gold Sparkle Crystals from Studio Katia around the flowers.

For my next card, I designed a shaker card. I die cut a piece of Aqua cardstock using the rectangular creative die from Studio Katia Dotted Patterns Set 3.

On top, I placed the oval creative die from the same set and run it through my die cutting machine. I reserved the rectangular piece of cardstock. Next, I die cut this oval shaped cardstock using the Lattice Background die from Sunny Studio Frilly Frames Lattice.

I glued this die cut piece to a white card base. Around, I added double sided foam strips from Darice to create shaker pocket window. I poured some beads and sequins inside the pocket window.
Then, I closed it with a piece of acetate and the rectangular piece, I reserved, on top. I used double sided tape to adhere these pieces.

Finally, I arranged some flowers on top of the card and added the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Script Thanks die, which was inked up with the WOW! embossing ink pad and heat embossed using WOW! Metallic Gold embossing powder.

These were my cards for today. I really loved how they turned out and I hope you liked them and get some inspiration. Please have a marvelous and shiny day my sweet friends!
