Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to those in the World that get to celebrate Father's Day Today. In honor to celebrate the day we have created some masculine card inspiration for you all.

Today's blog post is very exciting for my as I am sharing my post with very talented member of WOW embossing powders team Ankita.

We both have created cards for Father's Day and hope you will enjoy and get inspired.

So lets get started.

I have created my card using one of my favourite technique which I call '' full coverage''

To make my card I have used using Rich Gold Embossing powder and Xcut Cut & embossing folder.

I have started by die cutting front panel using cut and emboss folder and fully emboss with Rich Gold embossing powder.

Then I have used Tonic Studio Shimmer powder to created background for my card.

For my sentiment I have used ''Dad you're the best'' embossed with Ebony black embossing powder in the center of my card.

To finish my card and give the card bit of interest I have added patterned paper strips along the edge of my embossed panel.

Here is the still shot

I hope you enjoyed the video made by extremely talented Olga, who is always an inspiration for my cards.

For my card, I made a Dad's Shirt using some patterned paper and using the Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing powder made a very glittery and bright tie. I also did some dimensional stacking and heat embossing on the word DAD.

To start, I took some patterned paper from the MFT Plaid Patterns 6 inch by 6 inch stack. Using the Stitched Notes Die set from Pretty Pink Posh I built the shirt. I sketched the tie and colored it in using my copic markers.

I used the Bokeh Stencil and WOW Embossing pad and did some dabbing of embossing ink using a foam dauber. I heat embossed the Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder onto the tie and fussy cut it out.

For the die cut letters DAD, cut four times using Stitched Alphabets dies and stacked together, I coated it up with the WOW Embossing Ink and heat embossed it after dipping it in White Pearl embossing powder.

I adhered the alphabets onto a strip of vellum cut and scored into a banner and added it to the shirt. I added the sentiment Happy Father's Day from the Mom and Dad Icons stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I stuck everything together on a 4 inch by 5.25 inch panel of white cardstock and finally adhered it to an A2 sized top folding card base made from Fog Cardstock.

That's all for this card. I hope you liked both the cards and they serve as some inspiration for you!

Have a lovely day!

  1. Two beautiful cards Olg and Ankita. The rich gold Cut N Boss folder is perfect with the colouring behind the sentiment in those bright and pretty colours, and the shirt is a brilliant idea and love the vellum with the bold sentiment over the top. I love the colours and the spotted tie has the fun factor. x
