Guest Designer Ardyth

Good morning! It's Ardyth here from MASKerade and I'm excited to be back with another card as this month's Creative Guest.

This time, I was inspired by the current Muse challenge and I made an elegant Christmas card.

I embossed the big, loopy Mama Elphant sentiment with Metalline Kiwi Krush embossing powder - it has a gold shimmer in it that gives my 'greenery' an elegant look.

Next, I die cut two doves (and their wings) and covered them with WOW! Embossing ink before pouring a bit of Mayan Glintz on their bellies and then covering the rest of them with Inca Glintz. These two powders also have some shimmer and gave the birds a bit of colour and a pearly finish.

I created a mat for my card that perfectly matched the green sentiment, by trimming a panel and then inking up the edges with embossing ink. I poured Kiwi Krush around it and heated it until it was melted and smooth. It's important to have your heat gun quite hot to minimize warping.

I glued that panel directly to my card base, then added my focal panel. I popped up the birds with foam tape.
