Hello friends!
It's Ankita from Glitter Doodles and I am so excited and equally honored to write my first post on the WOW Blog as a WOW Design Team member. As you know, our monthly theme is 'rainbow' for the month of August 2018 and I used various techniques for my rainbow card today.
I love working with background stamps and gold embossing powders from WOW. I used Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing powder from WOW with Watercolor Stripes Background from MFT Stamps to create a gorgeous metallic gold background against white. It had a very wedding invitation elegant vibe to it.
I water colored a rainbow in a heart shape and die cut it using Lawn Fawn Heart Stackables Lawn Cut Die. I took a strip of vellum about three quarters of an inch wide and placed it across the rainbow heart.
I die cut the word Love from Die-namics Huge Love Die four times and stacked it one on top of another to give it dimension. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock using Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad and heat embossed using Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder. I placed both the die cut word Love and the sentiment on top of the vellum strip.
I foam mounted the heart on the gold embossed background panel, which I trimmed to 4.5 inches by 4.5 inches. I took a 5 inch by 10 inch piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock and scored it midway to make a top folding card and foam mounted the panel onto the cardbase.
I finished the card off with some gold sequins what were 6 mm, 4 mm and 2 mm.
That's all for this card. I hope you enjoyed reading about it!
Have a lovely day,
Ankita
