Hi! This is Maya typing, today I want to share a video I made talking a bit about the two new stamp sets that I designed for WOW's September release. But first I wanted to show you a project I made using the stamps. The sets are called Pick 'n Mix and Sparkle & Shine and I used both for this project. Since the theme for the September challenge is foil I made sure to use some fab foil on the card too. Here's how I made it.
I started out by embossing one of the stamps from Sparkle & Shine many times to make a background, I used Opaque white embossing powder for this. Then I added AquaTints that is a liquid water based ink on top to make a gradient. The embossing powder resists the ink and will make a pretty background. Just buff off any ink from the embossing using a cloth or piece of paper. The hugs is a foiled die cut. I used Word to draw up a black rectangle covering a full sheet of paper and printed it on my laser printer. An ink jet will not work since the foil reacts with toner. After printing out my black paper I die cut the word from it, I cover the black paper with at regular sheet of printer paper when die cutting to prevent the toner to spread or stick to my cutting plates. Then I just popped some foil (pretty side up) on top of the word and ran it through the laminator. I also stamped the word birthday from the Pick 'n Mix set and used bonding powder on top on vellum to make the text strip. I did the same thing there, just covered it with foil and ran it through the laminator. The only thing left was to put it all together. I love the gold against the teal color. Very pretty!
WOW! products used for this project: Sparkle & Shine and Pick 'n Mix stamps,Opaque Bright White embossing powder, Bonding Powder, Gold Glitter fab foil.
For a closer look at the stamps you can take a look at this video where I talk a bit about the sets and show some projects. And here are a collage of some other projects made with the sets. I hope you like the new sets and I can't wait to see what you'll make with them. Please tag #wowembossing if you share your projects on social media. I would love to see what you make!

Fabulous stamps! I am in love the leaves/feathers stamps since they were first shown. I'm now in love with those geometric sparkle and shine stamps too! They are lovely stamps and both sets would fit both male and female - I adore multi use stamps, we get more from them. The sentiments are wonderful too and the big and little set will work together perfectly, then the bonus is those little stars, dots, x & o's to create gorgeous backgrounds. Thanks so much for the chance to win these lovely useful and beautifully designed stamps Karen x
