Hi Everyone
Over at WOW HQ this month is MIXED MEDIA.
I have used an ATC (Artist Trading Card) and started by covering this with Versamark ink.
I then used an item I found in the pound shop. It is what you put flour in to sprinkle on your surface to stop the dough sticking. The holes are big enough for the embossing powder to come through.
I then got a little bit of the following embossing powders and put them in the sprinkler: Primary Chartreuse, Gold Pearl, Earthtone Paprika, Bright White and added a little bit of black puff powder.
I then sprinkled this onto the Versamark and heat set.
I then used pieces of a torn old book and glued 2 x strips onto the ATC. I then put Versamark on the top of this and again sprinkled the embossing powder mixture mostly onto the strips of paper and heat set again. The paper slightly bubbled and raised off the ATC giving a small dome effect.
I then stamped with Versamark, the script stamp from 'Call Me' and stamped this onto the ATC. I then sprinkled ebony embossing powder over the script and heat set. I then got the large butterfly stamp from the 'Make a Wish' set and stamped with Versamark and heat set with Ebony embossing powder.
My small masterpiece.
Take Care Sue

ReplyDeleteI have always wondered how to make an embossing powder "sprinkler", I was thinking pepper shaker or piercing holes into a temporary lid but your find is great! Love the results too...
