Hi All.
Chris here again with this month's "Fabric" theme.
For this month's theme Iv'e upcycled a hand-made Felt Glasses Case by adding some flowers made from the WoW silicone moulds and embossed leaves made from card.
Firstly, I folded a piece of cardstock in half and cut out one side of a leaf. When opened this made both sides of the leaf look the same. I then embossed the leaves with green embossing powder and whilst still wet, marked the leaf viens with a ball point pen. As the flowers won't stick very well to the felt, I then sewed them on at the base to the felt border and then stuck the moulded flowers onto the leaves with silicone glue. Two flowers were added to the bottom and one to the top of the large felt flower. I really pressed hard to stick this top one down and waited ages for it to dry but eventually we got there.
To make the actual flowers I melted some pink embossing powder and Melt It powders in a Melt pot and poured the melted powders into the daisy flower moulds to set. I love these moulds as you can use the flowers etc on most of your crafting projects. Why not take a look around and see what you could upcycle by adding an embossed image or two. Happy crafting.
