How to create dome letters with WOW Embossing Powders

Hi all!
This is Bianca again and this time I have a little tudorial for you. As nearly every crafter I love a little bit of decadence. It´s okay if something is not totaly flat for bringing more WOW! on a project.
With WOW! Embossing Powders it´s easy to create your own dome letters, stickers ore any shape just as you like it.

All what you need is:
*WOW! Embossing Glitter ore any WOW! Powder (mine is Metalic Gold Rich Sparkle)

*cardstock paper
*piercing tool

If you want to see the tudorial read more:

First cut shapes ore letters from your cardstock paper. I have used some die cuts from Sizzis but you can cut your own too. Take care the paper is cardstock not normal writing paper and no chipboard.
"ARMIN" is the name of my 9 years old son who loves everything gold actually :o)

On this photo you can see 3 steps. Each on a own letter.
First you have to prepare the cardstock letter with your embossing stamppad.
Than put the powder on the letter. DON´T snip away the excess as it will build the dome!!!
With a piercing toll ore a pecile you can gently slide the letter out of the excess (as I have done it with the A on the photo)

Preheat your oven at 120°C. If the oven is on the right temperature you can put in the letters on a baking tray with baking paper and give it in the middle of your oven.
At 120°C the powders will melt slowly. That´s essential as if the temperature is to hot the powders will melt until they are a liquit and than they would run and the dome effect would be lost.
In about 5 to 7 minutes the powders will be meltet but it depends from your oven so take care of it! Than remove it from your oven and let it cool down.

Repeate this on the bagside of your shape if you need the dome on both sides as on my keychain. If you need it for scrappbooking you can leave the  bagside plane.

After cooling down you can do the same steps again with clear embossing powders for a more shiny effect. If you need it more shabby you must not do this as one layer is enough for the dome.

The material is soft enough for make holes with a piercing tool after finishing it.

Have fun!
