I hope "woodsy" is a word...if not, forgive me. But I was referring to the gorgeous Suzy West "Pantry Collection" embossing powder colors - I love the earth-tones - not something you see too often in embossing powders. For my layout, I used the new paper from My Mind's Eye to scrap a couple pics of my husband and kids in the forest, and the pantry collection colors were a perfect fit.
To do the flowers, I used my Sizzix die to cut them out of black textured cardstock, and then covered the layers with “Pantry” Collection "Honey" and "Olive" colors. The pretty brads are from Creative Charms. This is the result:
Finally, I used Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard circles - large and small. The biggest one, I covered with Suzy West “By the Bay” Collection - "Skyline Grey" Puff. So it has a whole lot of texture - almost spongy, like flocking. And the smaller circles, I covered with WOW "Black Glint" Embossing Glitter - so they have a lot of sparkle to them that's hard to capture in a photo. The word "Excursion" and the maple leaves are also laser-cut chipboard by Scrapmatts.
I just love the amazing effect embossing powders can add to a LO. Thanks for stopping by today!
