Iv'e used a distress technique to create the background on this card so here goes with the instructions and products used....
Edge a 5" x 5" brown card with Earthtone Grape and Primary Mandarin Embossing powder using a clear embossing pad and heat set. Scruch up a torn piece of red 4" x 4" paper and lay flat. Emboss the paper lightly using a clear embossing pad and add Pomegranate Embossing Powder.(The powder should just lie on the surface of the scrunched pieces only). Heat set then add to the card.
Die Cut two swirls and cover with Gold Pearl Embossing Powder. Die cut 3 flowers out of beige paper 3 different sizes. Ink up the medium and smaller flower with cover with Apple Red Embossing Powder and Grape Embossing Powder and heat set. Assemble these together with a brad.
Tear a tag out of purple paper, punch two holes in the top and add rafia. Stitch rafia to the side of the card to add interest. Stick the tag onto the card and add the swirls. Add the flower to the front bottom left of the card then add the word "Dad" with stickers to purple paper and attach to the tag.
For the "Star" - In a Melting Pot, heat some Clear Gloss Embossing powder UH with Vanilla White and pour into a star cake/chocolate silicone mould. Leave to go cold and remove. Re-heat the top and drop in some Mandarin Embossing Powder and heat set for two seconds to seal the colour in. Add this to the base of the card with silicone glue.
